Grant Johnson
optometrist + owner

Hi! I’m Grant! I was born and raised right here, in Red Deer, Alberta. I’ve been practicing Optometry for the past 13 years. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Calgary in 2006. Afterwards, I went on to earn my Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pacific University College of Optometry in 2010. Since then, I practiced Optometry in Portland, Oregon and Victoria, British Columbia before returning home to Central Alberta. I am passionate about providing comprehensive vision care for all ages. I have a particular interest in the detection and management of glaucoma and using new technologies to slow down the progression of myopia (aka nearsightedness) in children. In addition to my regular practice, I have also volunteered on international eyecare trips to serve underprivileged populations. I was also the president of the Central Alberta Optometric Society from 2015-2019. I am currently a member of the Alberta Association of Optometrists and the Canadian Association of Optometrists.

In my time away from the clinic, I can be found spending time with my family, camping, hiking and golfing. I also love to travel and often find myself exploring other cities, trying to find the best food and coffee.

Dawn Pieper

Dawn comes to acuiti eyecare & eyewear with over 15 years of optical experience. Her favourite thing is when a child puts on a pair of glasses for the first time. You will see her at the office helping with all stages of your optical care. When she's not at work you can find her keeping active - from golfing, snowboarding, dancing, camping and baking - to running her 2 children around to their various activities.
Glenda Belcourt

Glenda began her journey in eyecare in 2011, working in Red Deer and living in Sylvan Lake raising her four girls. Afterwards she joined an optometry clinic in Calgary which she managed with the practice owner for several years. Her commitment to her work is evident in the way she approaches every patient with care and compassion. She has since returned to central Alberta to be closer to her family and is a devoted family member, spending time with her loved ones whenever she can. They enjoy swimming, a lot of hockey and family game nights together.
